First Post

Welcome to our blog! Patrick and I are getting settled into our place in Evanston, and I wanted to keep everyone updated on what's going on with us, since our friends and family are scattered across the globe. We hope you'll check in with us every now and then to see waht we're up to! I'm hoping to post some pictures from our drive up from Austin to Chicago, our apartment in it's various stages of progression, some notable dinners we've cooked, and perhaps I'll even provide photographic proof of how cold it's been. Really, it makes me wonder if Chicago is meant for human inhabitants...! It's downright balmy today at 21 degrees. We'll be breaking out the shorts (well, Pat will, at least) on Thursday with the high at 34! Glad you're here! :o)
